Feelings In Bloom

The artwork is situated in Changyugou Village, a forested area in Beijing, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustle of urban life. It invites moments of contemplation, self-reflection, or simply a quiet pause. Its integrated lighting feature also functions as a beacon, guiding trekkers through the surrounding landscape.

This art light installation explores perception through a striking contrast: a dynamic outer layer of ever-changing light and a warm, passionate inner layer. It symbolizes the idea that “there’s more than meets the eye,” highlighting that both things and people have deeper layers beyond surface appearances. The outer layer’s shifting patterns draw viewers in, encouraging exploration beyond initial impressions. In contrast, the inner layer offers an intimate experience with warm, touchable colors, creating closeness.

The installation conveys a message about our shared human essence: despite external differences, we all come from a place of goodness. It invites viewers to look beyond appearances and engage with the deeper core beneath. By fostering exploration and reflection, the installation unites individuals from diverse backgrounds, encouraging recognition of the common core that connects us all.

The design narrative results in a form that resembles a heart or beacon, sending out signals that guide through emotions and human senses. While it communicates deeply, it remains open to personal interpretation, inviting viewers to engage with the installation in their own unique way. The focus lies on the feelings it evokes, rather than any specific reference.
